W9TCY Overview

The W9TCY Dell 10TB Hard Drive uses Advanced Format (AF) technology, which increases the physical sector size on the disk from 512 bytes to 4,096 bytes (4K sectors). This allows for more efficient use of disk space, resulting in a higher storage capacity. However, the W9TCY Dell 10TB Hard Drive uses 512E (512 bytes emulation) sector size, which means it uses 4k physical sector size but the drive controller emulates the 512 bytes/sector. This allows the drive to be compatible with older systems that do not support the new 4k sector size.
