Cisco 1841 Integrated Services Router is part of the Cisco 1800 Integrated Services Router Series which complements the Integrated Services Router Portfolio. Cisco 1841 router offers embedded hardware-based encryption enabled by an optional Cisco IOS Software security image; further enhancement of VPN performance with an optional VPN acceleration module; an intrusion prevention system (IPS) and firewall functions; interfaces for a wide range of connectivity requirements, including support for optional integrated switch ports; plus sufficient performance and slot density for future network expansion and advanced applications as well as an integrated real-time clock.
The 2620 classic Cisco router (CISCO2620) includes (1) built-in 10/100 port, (2) Wan Interface Card (WIC) slots, (1) Network Module (NM) slot and (1) internal Advanced Integration Module (AIM) slot. Standard default memory is 32MB DRAM and 8MB flash. DRAM memory is expandable to 64MB and flash is upgradable to 32MB (please note: older versions of the 2620 router may require a new boot rom to recognize the 32MB flash card). Other classic 2600 series router modules include models 2610, 2611, 2612, 2613, 2620, 2621, 2650 and 2651. Specific models support dual 10Base-T, single 10/100, dual 10/100 and Ethernet/Token Ring combinations.
The Cisco 2801 provides significant additional value compared to prior generations of Cisco routers at similar price points by offering up to a fivefold performance improvement, up to a tenfold increase in security and voice performance, new embedded service options, and dramatically increased slot performance and density while maintaining support for most of the more than 90 existing modules that are available today for the Cisco 1700, Cisco 2600, and Cisco 3700 Series. /p pThe Cisco 2801 allows network managers to provide scalable analog and digital telephony without investing in a one-time solution, allowing enterprises greater control of their converged telephony needs. Using the voice and fax modules, the Cisco 2811 can be deployed for applications ranging from voice-over-IP (VoIP) and voice-over-Frame Relay (VoFR) transport to robust, centralized solutions using the Cisco Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) solution or distributed call processing using Cisco Call Manager Express (CME). /p
